Vintage "SyrocoWood" Box

Beautiful vintage box from the 1930's or 1940's made by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco) in Syracuse, New York.  It is made from SyrocoWood, a type of wood pulp used in molds that the company originated.  This lovely, gold-tone box was probably used to hold cigarettes or jewelry and will instantly elevate any vanity or shelf!  It has a beautiful and elaborate tulip and leaf design on the lid. The original sticker on the bottom reads, "SyrocoWood, Syracuse Ornamental Company, Made in U.S.A." 

Condition:

This box is in good vintage condition.  It has developed a patina from age, and there is some paint worn off on small spots throughout.
